Hi, My name is Alex.
I don't own an EVO or any mitsubishi for that matter. I have a 2005 Cobalt SS/SC thats in the middle of a turbo swap. I've owned the car for 4 years doing various mods and upgrades. There arent many Cobalt owners that are doing turbo swaps or parting out their big turbo builds so my friends with Evo's directed me here. I'm a bit new to turbos and their workings so i think I'll find a fair bit of good info on here about that as well.
I'm in the market for a turbo in the 5-600 hp range, a 38 or 44mm wastegate, a meth kit and various other bits to get this all running. I'm doing a fairly unique build with NO intercooler, only chemical cooling. This essentially eliminates lag and improves boost performance, allowing me to run a larger turbo which would normally lag terribly with the 16 ft of charge pipe required to make its away around the crowded engine bay.
Current mods:
Race spec port and polished head.
ZZP Turbo Manifold
ZZP Downpipe
Saab intake manifold
ZZP Short ram intake
OTTP stage 1 axles
Tein S-tech Springs
ZZP Rear sway bar
GM racing clutch and flywheel
TWM shift bushings
BPS cable clamps
certainly more I'm missing somewhere...anyway, on with the picts.
Ignore the grungie interior...

Not yet, I received the initial letter saying I'll receive another letter when the dealer has the parts. My car isnt currently mobile so it'll have to wait til then. I've never had a problem with it turning off but it wont turn over if i let it sit on accessory for more than 5 seconds.
