Hello I just bought a evo 8 and need help to find what type of engine management I have. My buddy saidthe engine is knocking and I need a tune but I have no idea where to find what type of engine management I have. Here's the mods I know it has..
AWD,sunroof, recaro seats, xenon lights, OEM mitsubishi window visors, brembo brakes VOLK racing te37 sl super light rims, APR carbon fiber difusers all around, sound system, dc spots sway bars, adjustuble suspension, FULL RACE twin scroll manifold, dual tial wastegates, FULL RACE down pipe, gtx 35r race turbo, full race intercooler, FULL RACE piping, apex i titanium exhaust, SHEP transmission and transfer case, BUSCHUR long rod 2.0 motor(1,200 miles on motor)

 

Holy crap! Nice buy hopefully you got a good deal! As far as what your using, i cant help you there, Take it to a reputable EVO tuning shop, im sure they can help you. If you dont know what your doing when it comes to tuning, (1) Learn, (2) Take it to someone who does.

I have very limited knowledge when it comes to that. And i leave it to the professionals!

 

wow you bought an already built evo. find your ecu and see if it is an AEM or OEM. But, do take it to a evo specialist shop/tuner to take a look. pictures please.

I'd love some input from someone running N arm but my old standalone on my miata isn't there a vacukme line that should run from the motor or turbo to the standalone?
I might be wrong but he could trace he lines if thats the case

 

Pull the glove box and take a picture of the ECU. No one is going to help you look through your album.
