I picked up a '03 EVO 8 about 9 months ago and already new to do a proper service and maintenace before I could fully enjoy it and some de-riceing for my liking as well. My EVO addresses my need to put 2 car seats in time to time vs my gsx. My concerns are weather to swap ecus to use dsm link or to keep messing with ecu flash and evo scan, I cant seem to get my ROM to save something along the lines of a XML file missing, but I have track that down with no results and posted an thread here.

I bought my 03 Evo 8 the first month they were available on the east coast and it was 6 months before I saw another one on the road! Great fun to drive and a most effective cone crusher. Have fun!

Thanks for the welcome, I am about 2 hours southeast from b'ham just come on down hwy 280 for a lil bit. My evo 8 is yellow as well, my GSX was a 97 with v3 SD 2.4 swap beast I ended up selling to a real good friend that was around and help with the build and I have to give him 70% of the tuning credit I could get it to drive and run good but he took it to another level. I hope to build the EVO up in the near future, just getting my feet wet right now.

 

Thanks, I looked at a blue by you in NC back in 03 right before a deployment and was like I want it when I got back. Long story short took orders overseas and didnt get one until last year. I dont know what you mean exactly about cone crusher but if it deals with the tight sterring radious yes dont sneeze and bump the steering wheel it may turn into an unexpected lane change.
