Take the advice from someone that bought a low mileage used evo, that 5k will be needed to fix something shortly after you purchase the evo.

I've got a guaranteed $2500 in Bonuses coming in a couple months, so I can stash that to the side for maintenance.
Issue is, I burn through cars on a yearly basis, and even though I plan on keeping an X "forever", every time I trade, I end up eating the negative equity because I never put anything down.
