Take the advice from someone that bought a low mileage used evo, that 5k will be needed to fix something shortly after you purchase the evo.

I've got a guaranteed $2500 in Bonuses coming in a couple months, so I can stash that to the side for maintenance.

Issue is, I burn through cars on a yearly basis, and even though I plan on keeping an X "forever", every time I trade, I end up eating the negative equity because I never put anything down.

 

You sound just like my buddy who I have seen do this with about 7 cars now.

FG2 was an Si Coupe.

Dropped the car off at Glenview Mitsubishi a couple hours ago for the CMC/Flash Recall, and I feel stupid for not realizing my car's actually Phantom Black instead of Mercury Grey as it was listed.

 

Just ordered a set of WORKS Hybrid Shifter Cable Bushings and some Redline Cocktail.

 

Yea was going to say, that ain't Mercury Grey.
