My name is Myke and I am from central MO. Just picked up my 08 Evo X MR this weekend and am loving it. I have owned quite a few cars in my 32 years of life and Evo's are my favorite. I started out with a 99 civic si that I dumped a lot of money into for no reward so I decided to trade up and got an 03 Evo VIII. I was instantly in love and still to this day regret letting it go. I needed cheaper payments so I traded and got an 06 Crossfire. While that was fun it just wasn't what I was looking for so that ended up turning into an 08 Nismo 350z. That car was a lot of fun but as life went on I ended up getting married and started talking about kids. Then it was time for the Z to go so I bought a Nissan Titan, which I really didn't like. It was much larger and good for the family but it wasn't any fun to drive and horrible on gas. So this weekend I convinced the wife to let me get something that could still fit the kid, great on gas, and that I enjoyed driving. I found a gem of an Evo X MR online, test drove it and that's all there was too it. Loving the car so much right now. I thought I would be disappointed with the SST transmission but it's so smooth and perfect since I do have a small kid. It's one less thing to deal with in the car lol.
