First question what's your budget? I mean it all comes down to how much you want to spend and what your end goal is. Are you looking for just performance or just looks?

I want to start with performance. I was looking into getting a intercooler but am unsure of what to get. I'm willing to spend some money but don't want to go to the extreme. I want Good product for a fair price.

Intercooler wouldn't be my first upgrade. For quick performance gains, I'd start with a test pipe, 3 port boost solenoid, and a professional tune. These will give a good bang for the buck.

Ultimately, it depends what your goals are, meaning strictly DD, occasional track use, etc.

You should look into ETS products, they are very well made and priced competitively. They also have kits you can purchase that address most of the common mods.

Good luck!

also be prepared to do maintenance on the SST transmission.

I recently spent 3500cdn on a rebuild using SSP parts clutches, seals, bigger sump, cooler the works.

If your trans is reluctant to shift or seems not quite right.. it's probably time.

With proper modifications, correct tuner tuning the car and proper service on the transmission (oil/filter service). With mild modifications on stock turbo the trans will live a healthy 80k+ miles with no rebuild, unless the car's sole purpose is a track only car.
