Thinking about buying a Evo for a 2nd car / track car. I know these cars are not cheap but any idea about how much a year? drive hard once to twice a week just starting to race and have a budget of 4-6k a year including tires. what will break?
The reason for this car is I live in Seattle WA. and it rains most days and days that it doesn't I ride my dirt bike. I like the 350z but rear wheel drive seems like it wont get much traction and plus I love the technology in the EVO X with the torque vectoring (all wheel right torque vectoring right?) anyways would I be better off with a more affordable car with upgrades/upkeep?

Well if it helps I live in Renton, wa not far from Seattle. My monthly for insurance is $111 a month for both my lancer gts and evo mr full coverage. No tickets, no accidents, family and 32 years old. Expect to pay about $60 for oil changes every 5k.
I pay $460/month for my evo but that all depends on your financial situation.

I paid about 430/month on my payments, tad shy of 100 bucks a month for insurance (many speeding tickets lol).
My car is paid off now though! woo hoo! even though it's starting to throw random codes now...
If you only track the car, I guess clutch, brakes and tires are the first to go. As far as breaking any parts, I couldn' tell you. 4-6K seems like a pretty good budget unless you race every weekend.

Does anyone track their EVO? Or atleast drive it hard frequently? I'm curious as to how well the cars hold up to extreme abuse. I am planning on buying a high mileage 08 probably to save on cost then upgrade things when they start to go bad or brake. this is my first all wheel drive car other than a eclipse gsx that I only had for a few months anything to worry about with tracking a all wheel drive car?
