Which car is better: 2004 Lancer ES (5M) or 2004 Impreza 2.5RS (5M)? Both will have a turbo-kit added and more mods depending on the car.

 

hmmmmm.......that is tough. I like the new body styling of the impreza now, if we were comparing last gen. impreza i'd tell ya to go with the but why not compare the impreza with the new Mitsu Ralliart? Closer in price range and comparable in performace... Im pretty sure a turbo kit will be coming out for the Ralliart. So i'd tell ya to check that out...otherwise i'd prolly go with the impreza.

 

if its too much trouble u dont have too, but can u list out the mods that each car would have.

I would go for the impreza personally because of the AWD, but thats just me.

 

i think the impreza has AWD, which is definately an advantage over the FWD. i think the impreza also has more hp. i still love my es more than i ever could an impreza tho, it just fits me really nicely, and the outside looks a lot better i think lol.

 

Basically, I want to get the best out of either car. With the turbo kit most of the power will come out and they both reach about 300hp right? So, I just wanted to know which car is better overall, such as how it looks with a body kit and how it performs with most of the mods offered (I have no list, but for the Lancer I'd go with the list on this site.)

 

Ralliart is quicker it runs a 14.9 while the RS is slower than the SE-R Spec V's, it was in motortrend or something, stick wit Mitsubishi!!!

No comparison. The 2.5RS is a far better car... higher build quality, awd, good tuning potential (in fact a real market for aftermarket parts and turbo kits) and better resale. It might be a bit slower than the RA due to the awd but it wouldn't even be a question for me. Get the Subaru. My dealer experience was far better buying my WRX than it was with the Evo.

 

used evo for 23k would be better. If you are going to put a couple grand into a car than just wait a while and buy a used EVO.

 

 

2.5 without a doubt

 

I just bought a 04 Ralliart and test drove a 2.5. Tough choice, both are nice rides, it all comes down to personal preference. Looks, AWD vs FWD....etc. Make it easy by saving up for a WRX !!

 

the subby maybe big in HP, but on the motortrend comparison test, the ralliart did better. if i were to pick, it would be tough. when u have a subby, itll end up looking nice and many ppl will admire it. if i have a ralliart, i could get pretty much a lot more performance parts than the subby coz its cheaper. i dont know with u but id go for

 

It depends of the kind of car you are going after. In my expierence there is no way the WRX could beat an EVO. The Mitsu seems to be more "upgradable", fast and reliable than WRX so iŽll allways choose the Mitsu over the Subie.
However, if you are after a NA car or " normal car" i think i should take in count many other factors such as: inside quality, toys, AWD or not, maitenance, body shell...then i think iŽll prefer the Subaru!
