New Evo X Owner

Hey there!

Picking up my 2011 Evo GSR tommorow. I'm not exactly too savvy with my new change in pace (I'm trading in my 2003 Jeep Wrangler.. it's a little different). Figured I would come here and try and get a general feel for things I should do on a regular basis, things I might find, or just general info on these. I don't really know much about it.

The Evo i'm picking up has an aftermarket intake and exhaust, haven't had a good chance to look, not sure if it's cat back or turbo back. What else should I dive in and look for or change ASAP.

Take it to a reputable perrformance shop and have them check out the car thoroughly and have them check to see if you have a tune on the vehicle and if that tune is reliable. Also have a compression check, and the oil changed.

Welcome! Be prepared to read! There's tons of info on this forum. Be sure to read through stickies or do a simple search.

With intake and turbo back, I'd check if it's been tuned properly. If there's no tune, there's many different options in tuning. You can still drive it, just don't mash. Like previously mentioned, take it to a good shop and have them take a look over. Good luck!
