Hi all - Evo8 FQ300 here

Hello all,

First let me say that this is a very nice forum containing a lot of details and DIY's. Some have put a lot of effort to provide info and this is appreciated hopefully by everyone using the forum.

I'm coming from a German market background / this is the first JDM car I'm dealing with and as a user of a lot of forums can definitely say that this forum is top notch Great work guys and thank you for releasing your findings.

Car is a JDM Evo8 FQ300 with some bolt ons like bigger IC and piping / turbo back exhaust / cone air filter etc and some strengthening bolt ons such as strut bars etc.

I have the car for three days now but feels quite "slow" and uses a lot of fuel (98 RON) . Thinking of what can be done to make the car better and reading the forum until my eyes hurt I purchased Evoscan and a 1.3U Openport cable and had a LC-1 kit so connected that with Evoscan last night and made some logs.
Also downloaded the ROM with EcuFlash and removed the speed limiter. Stock fuel maps seem overly rich!?

I have quite a few questions by now so will be posting in other threads soon.

Note: Some links in the "New User Guide" do not work?

Hi and welcome! Please post a few pics of your FQ300 as we don't see them that often. Please PM me the dead links when you have time and we'll try to get them sorted out. Thanks!
