Just bought a '03 gsr!

Hello,
Just wanted to let everyone know that i've finally picked up an evo. I purchased a '03 evo with 34k original, unmodded miles! Drove it home from chicago yesterday and haven't ever owned a car that put a smile on my face the way this evo does. I'm not gonna go crazy with modding it, probably just TBE and intake, tune and call it a day. I might, MIGHT go e85. I don't want to get to the threshold of having to rebuild the tranny or xfer case.

^ What he said. If it is an original 03 you will be rebuilding that transfer case soon enough anyway. It's OK. it will be better for it, it needs an properly shimmed LSD

Congrats though, 03's with "all the fixes" are the best evos according to me.

What's different with a '03 xfer case than other models? Guess i haven't come across anyone talking about that..

Modding is an addiction.
If your looking for a cheap upgrade restack your rear diff plates, it's super easy to do.
