That said, lots of girls think that they want to be seen in a Ferrari or whatever, until they find out that there's nowhere to put their purse and it's too noisy and it sits too low, there's no way to get out comfortably while wearing a short skirt, etc..
Not that I ever used it as a bargaining chip (because that's lame), but sure, inadvertently it has helped out in the past.
While I was bartending for a short time right after I graduated from college, I took on a summer job as a summer RA in on-campus housing. One of my residents was a pretty blonde transfer student from out of state (some school in Oregon that wasn't Oregon or Oregon State), so since she was new to the area, I figured it wouldn't hurt to invite her to come with me to hang out with some friends at the beach the night of move-in day. She said yes, walked to the parking lot with me, and said, "Wow, you have a really, really nice car," though bear in mind this was when the car was still brand new in 2006. A couple of dates later, boom.
A few years after that, I had just started working in insurance (but on the sales side, contrasting to doing underwriting now) and joined a networking group. One of the girls in the group was another blonde girl around my age, and I think she went to USC for her undergrad. We had met at a local coffee spot just to learn about each other's respective fields, and as we walked out, she saw me go to my car and said, "You have an Evo!?!" I figured it's a good thing, since most girls who look down on the car probably just think it's a Lancer and call it that (which has happened before), so I asked how she knew what my car was, and she said her older brother had one before. We hung out after that, but she took a couple of months to crack.
So do I use the car to get lucky? No. Did I need the car? No. Did it help? Maybe.
And the crazy thing is that they both had boyfriends too. Whammy!

best story so far

Oddly they both found out, but they never did anything. The boyfriend of the first one ironically had a black 2005 WRX wagon, and he had eventually followed her and moved down to our area toward the end of the summer. I don't doubt that she came clean to him. While we all lived in summer housing, I noticed a weird liquid streak along the left side of my car... pretty sure the guy pissed on it, especially since a day or two later (obviously after the car had been washed already), I watched him walking to his car, but as he passed by mine, he made a very obvious glance at the left side of my car, like he was looking for something. I didn't get that mad, since it just washed off, plus I got the better end of that deal, though I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't bummed that she stayed with him. I did actually like her, but whatever, I'll write that one off as a summer thing.
I ended up kind of in an awkward situation with that guy, since she invited me to her 21st birthday a year or so later at the bars (though she was single at that time), and sure enough, her ex was also there too. I decided to be cool and just introduce myself to him but in a way that made it clear we knew who each other was, and it was pretty civil without getting weird. By coincidence, I ended up living a few streets away from that guy a few years later, and I always knew where he parked... hehehe.
The boyfriend of the second one always had suspicions about me since he knew who I was, since I figure she probably would tell him about the group, what kind of people were in it, etc., and I don't doubt that when she'd leave the house, she'd probably mention casually that she was going to have a meeting with me (though my name probably came up more frequently.) And he always accused her of doing whatever, especially once her relationship started to deteriorate, but she always denied it. Oddly I just happened to pull into a parking lot right in front of him without realizing it. I had parked to go to the gym and saw a guy in a car, but I went back in and drove home since I had forgotten my towel. A few minutes later into my drive, I get a call from the girl, she asks where I was and that she said her boyfriend said that he thought he saw me, and then it clicked in my head that that was him and his car. He just happened to have been in that exact parking lot, waiting for a guy to buy/sell some Craigslist stuff to.
But I don't live dangerously like that anymore, haha. Sure, it makes for some good story material, but you never know what trouble you'll get into.

I mean, I've had girls say nice car to me in drive-thrus and parking lots and stuff.
But if you wana get a chick magnet you need a Lambo/Ferrari/Porsche. Evo is more of a dick magnet

Evo is a dude magnet for real. Girls see a loud car with a giant spoiler on the back and assume I am 16 years old with acne. Girls are more impressed with a 2000 BMW 3 series than a fast Evo.
My old Jeep Wrangler on the other hand was a panty dropper, girls love Jeeps!
