I parted ways with my 2007 Civic Si to find myself in an Evo X! To compare it to the Si: the 5-speed gearbox is not highway friendly; however, for a 5-speed I noticed the gearing is very short and I find torque in every single gear. It's unbelievable! The Si was short-geared as well, but I had to downshift 2-3 gears to pass on the highway. I look for bends in the road with the Evo. It is an addiction. This car handles like it's on rails.
To add, I have a 2008 Lexus IS-F in the stable as well.
I can comment on one thing, however: the Evo's handling is superior to that of the IS-F!
picking it up from NY:
This car was almost sold within hours of the previous owner's post, but I was lucky enough to jump on it right after. It has a few modifications (catback, upper ic pipe, intake, cobb 3port, cobb accessport tune).
This is my daily driver, and I couldn't be happier.
