Unhappy Rear wiper already out!

I got my evo on 03-10-04. its a 03 but had only 1,200 miles, and the rear wiper is already out on it. Anybody else have this prolbem. also when i pull my car in the garage it has a funny smell 2 it, kinda like something is burning? any ideas of what it could be.

sorry to hear about your wiper, but i personally don't like mine, i want it off! the burning, does it smell like rotten eggs? if it does i think it is the turbo breaking in or something, mine did that for a while, it went away... i'm not a tech or anything, but i bet mark at quantum racing or some of the other techies on hear would know better than i.

Not sure what you mean by wiper is out but mine had a problem too. I when I turned it on, it would not rotate. I took it to the dealer and they said that a common problem is that the nut that holds it down will loosen up. All they did was pop the little cap off (directly over it's pivot point) and tighten the nut. Pretty simple really.

I have 15K on mine and still can smell something when I park it in the garage. Not sure if it's the smell of big brakes or like mild burnt rubber. Oh well, it's been there this long and doesn't seem to be a big deal.
