1 question though
If I am at a light and put it into first, sometimes I feel a thud in the back...
Like something getting engaged into something else...
I don't mind it...
Is this normal
And yes I did do a search

I'm not sure how many evo's browse through the Newb forum.

Are you shifting into 1st while moving or while stopped? Then again, I think the Evo has synchros on all gears so that wouldn't matter. I know you can hear a transmission when you shift, and it's more noticeable when you're not moving and it's quiet, but a thud sounds more than just a noise.

 

I get that too, but not all the time. its not all that loud but i can hear it and kind of feel it

 

its at a dead stop and then thud...
more like things moving into things...
I am in the front seat and you hear it in the back...
I haven't driven in 4 days...


I will drive tonite and post again...

yes i know this thread is almost 4 years old, but I have the thud issue too. Search didnt help. Any updates during the time passed as to what is causing the thud and a potential cure?
