Hey , from across the pond ...
Yes i'm on it too , but not very active there . Just absorbing stuff , old technical threads thats all. It became a very different place in last 4 years or so... This place is much more neutral IMO , even its more for newer models , lots of things can be applied on older cars too... I'm using same name on most forums .
These cars are not too difficult to handle on track . I'm only running basic power mods 350bhp and 340ish LB/ft with little suspension mods , so its pretty safe in that respect .

thats a great vid and driving, I like the way you are calmly pulling it back in line, I've done a couple of wet track days and noticed the same thing where the back lets go real quick and catching it is an art before it goes to far. Driving on the edge is a great skill. I saw a 5th gear show once where they put the 6 up against the 9 around a track and the 6 was faster.
When i sold my subaru i was in the market for a car that is lighter to previous one , i drove 3 cars before i decided which one is most suitable one . Evo 9 was most refined and responsive out of them , but it was running around 400 and was out of my budget for a weekend toy. Evo 8 MR felt great too , but the weight was felt , handling was superb with SAYC but interference could be felt a bit too much for my liking. Last was red TME and that car opened my eyes. It was perfect , lighter , much better looking (IMO) and much more rewarding to drive , AYC could be felt but not as much as on the others , however the cost of TME was over my budget as well so i chose the GSR instead and freshened it up with few new bits , bushes , KW V3s , braces . Kept the rest more or less standart with the intention to be usable on road with my 5 year old if needed. It's 1.5 year as i own it now and it still gives me smiles ....when it works

Experimenting ATM ....before i used to use R888s , AD048s , but nowadays there can be had a tad less gripper but much less expensive tyres , like Nankang NS2Rs or Federal 595Rs ... I used NS2Rs for a year and was very impressed what they can do for the money. Now i bought AD08Rs for the road , but will put Nankangs again on my track wheels , they've been phenomenal for 300 quid IMO. exactly 12 months more than 8k miles and 4 track days on them . bang for buck , and less than 2 sec time between the expensive Semis ...
