new evo owner here :)
got my 2003 rally red evo on feb. 28th
I LOVE IT! 6 miles on it, carbon wing and sunroof, 29,000 out the door, put 12,500 of my own money down
im also 19 years old with a full time job, and also own a 2001 eclipse paid off thats my daily driver...
no probs with my evo so far, besides the scratches, though i have thrown a CEL every other week for a "bad o2 sensor", but it must be a glitch because it goes off after a while (only comes on under hard driving)
o well, i been cruising the forums for a while, glad to be here finally

You probably don't want to be drivinig your evo hard until you break in your car properly. That might be why you are getting a cel when you are driving hard. You shouldn't even go above 4500 rpms i believe for the first 500 miles. Have fun with the evo anyhow.

There is a big meet tomorrow in Falls Church, VA at noon at Mach V Motorsports. Check the Mid-Atlantic board here or log on to www.dcevoclub.com for more details. You'll get a chance to meet a lot of the VA/MD Evo people...
