Checking brake pads

Semi-dumb question. Can someone tell me the proper way to check the brake pads for wear on a ix. Can you tell without removing the wheels?

You could probably check them using a small extendable mirror tool and a flashlight. But it's definitely easier and recommended to just remove the wheels and get a nice close up view.

Hey @ pistons4550,

Here is a link to one of our helpful automotive articles, that will guide you through the necessary steps to new disc brake pads installation. This is a general guide for all vehicles, though, I thought you might find it helpful: http://www.carid.com/articles/how-to...rake-pads.html
