Hello from Alaska!
Hello from Alaska!
Hi all! I have been a long time lurker but finally signed up. I do not have an evo, but I have a 4G Eclipse GT. I'm here to share, learn, and use the valuable knowledge and resources your community has for tuning and parts. I'll be honest, I'm here because the forum and community for my car is dying and the progressive members who contributed and offered services have been leaving. I'm also in Alaska so I'm on my own when it comes to local help with my car. I'm forced to go out and explore and network with other communities. That has led me here to this much larger and comprehensive community!
A little about my ride. Its a 2007 Eclipse Gt 6sp.
Power: I/H/E, Quaife LSD, CM fx350 clutch, CM steel flywheel, (getting prepped and ready for a ROM definition and reflash, pointing in the right direction for Etuners is appreciated)
Suspension: ES Engine Roll Stops, some ES suspension bushings, MR coilovers, Progress rear sway bar, ES shifter bushings.
Wheel/Tire: XXR 527 18x8.75 Hyperblack wrapped in 245/45/18 Conti ExtremeContact DW.
Body: Silver paint, black head/taillights/spoiler, black fog bezels and reflectors, CF OEM hood, CF eyelids, debadged
Next up is a reflash and getting my hands on some evo brakes! But thats it, thought I'd say hello, I'll work on getting a pic or 2 up

Hey!
Welcome, we are very glad to have you in the community! Your 4G Eclipse GT is a very capable car and a blast to drive. My first 4G63 was a turbo Eclipse which led me to my Evo. Have fun!

Thanks! Yeah it is surprisingly underestimated in terms of performance. Granted its not an EVO, was never meant to be. But it performs fantastic as a touring/grand touring car where you need power, stiffness and a BIG stable wheelbase lol. Also the premium package lends itself nicely to the touring role. In that sense I love it.
Actually, I've been working on the reflash this last week and WOW! makes me sad Mitsu nerfed it as much as they did. With the LSD and some extra power it prolly would have been more popular. Now I just need to plan out a solution for brakes
