Hello all, just bought a nice on last week, however I don't kno squat about engines but I am here to learn.
I only plan to to add a better manifold and exhaust...only had a few questions
Do I need a tune if I add an exhaust manifold? and What kind of turbo is this? looks stock
and what should I use for oil on tranny and engine? The engine oil is green I was thinking the guy before used bradd penn maybe? maybe i should stick with that
is there anything else I should check the cars solid and sounds real nice
Congrats on finding a super clean looking WW Evo! The answer to all your questions are here in your new community, I suggest your start with the stickies in this forum. By the way I do notice a small black spot on the lower front bumper lip. Are you going to part the car out now. Have fun!

People have been pretty bad about that lately.
OP, congrats on finding one of the cleanest evos left around.
Stick with Diaqueen SAE 90 for Rear diff and Transfer case. As for the transmission, i'll leave that up to you to decide. OEM fluids tend to work best for a DD.
Looks like a stock 9 turbo, which is already more than enough if all you're planning to do is a turbo back exhaust with manifold.
A tune is highly recommended after installing those parts to make your car performs at it's best.
Congrats!! looks mint, learn of the engine before modifying it, get used to the power level & after you feel comfortable, have lots of fun turning the boost up
