Hi, my name is Jackson, I own a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. I'm 15 years old and I'm a sophomore in high school. I paid $15k for my car, bought it with 137k miles though. I pay for the car every month and pay for gas. I am 15 still so my parent do pay for some things, like the down payment plus insurance, but I work my *** off to keep this car. It has full bolt ons except down pipe which I'm looking to get one soon(ETS 02 dump), just have to save more money for the pipe and retune. You can drive at 15?

 

In Aus if a 15 year old got caught driving an Evo you would be locked up in maximum security


We have weird *** laws here where you cant drive certain power to weight turbo cars until you are 21. It keeps lots of administration people in their jobs to manage it.


Anyway, i suggest try and get some sort of pro driver training, that beast can get you in trouble real quick even for us old folk so learning to drive the right way is important and a couple of track days and a pro next to you is also helpful. Keep respecting the car and it will keep you safe. Don't be the guy at the high school party who takes everyone out in his Evo to show off, that's when it will happen

 

It's just a car. Be smart and drive safe. You will be fine. We all survived driving as a teenager, without professional instruction
