FE CA0308 diamond white

hi everyone.. finally posting..
i bought my final edition june 2016, drove it the whole year and this year but still find time to ride my bike..
i just want to say thank you for all the information that all the members have contributed in this forum.. i have been reading a lot since owning the evo x..
sad to say its the last of its kind lol..
so i will be just posting pics with timeline.. from stock to present..
so far what i added.. since new

-3m protection
-remote starter (viper 1 mile range)
-mudflaps (lots of rockchips where i'm from)
-rain visors

then i installed lowering springs myself....
-eibach, 25mm H&R spacers
-whiteline roll center kit
-TTC urethane cushion (to avoid blowing my struts)
aligned -2f, -1r 0 all toe..
-installed rear view camera
-installed led bulbs all over and changed headlight bulbs to OSRAM HBI d2s

did a headlight retrofit myself.. i have built quite a few on my own bikes and cars from before.. so i had to make mine unique with final edition touches..
i put some umnitza halos, porsche headlight shroud, xb led fogs s DRL w/ the halo, koito bi-xenon d4s projectors, w/ osram HBI bulbs, painted..

then i installed bolt ons.. ets DP/HFC, magnaflow CB, AFE hFF, 3.5 IC, GS 3port.. e-tuned
i have not dyno'ed yet as my clutch failed at 20k km, launched a few and was almost stuck from playing in the snow 2x (i have seen a lot of 2014+ failed early, apparently issues with the ff: throwout bearing/weak pressure plate, mine was the latter.. installed ACT HDSS..
that's it with power for now, learn to be content.. i want to drive this car whole year round without problems..

planning for some aesthetics like front lip, rear spats, wing, wheels.. dunno what to get yet..

so i installed injen evolution intake.. looks clean but was a bit of pain..

pros and cons IMO

pros:
-true cold air intake
-fits like stock box and can fit stock boost controller
same design with aem but snorkel is extended to bumper..
-aesthetics.. looks good and clean to me
-checking efficiency of filter has that gauge on top for maintenance reminder.. the gauge has small hose connected to the air filter itself inside..
-straightforward install..
- tuner adjusted my tune.. (from stock box with afe highflow filter) flows better than stock

cons:
-you have to remove bumper for install
-you have to cut a 1/4 pc. of your radiator shroud (where stock snorkle plastic was resting)
-you have to cut 1.5x2in on the bracket where your fog light connector is resting in the middle not affecting stock mounting...
-if you want to reach something where the airbox is resting you are sol because you need to remove bumper.. however you can disconnect the piping and the rear of the box (rear of box is where the con filter is attached) then you can have a room to play with and if you also loosen the turbo inlet coupler..

heres the hidden part.. top of snorkel and the bracket where fog light connector was resting.. those 2 screw holes are for optional rain guards..

You should search the EvOX Engine forum & see if someone has posted an informative install thread on this Injen intake.

This info could be your first real post & may end up helping many others

BTW, it looks like it fits well & looks great!

(I searched for you & there is no thread that looks similar. Go ahead & post up)

Think about it!
