Thumbs up New Evo II RS owner!

Hi peeps! I'm new in the Evo world, I'm glad to be here and I found this website on the web. I have many questions but I'm not quite sure if I can start to do it here.

Basically I bought a rolling chassis because my car doesn't have a engine yet. The engine was disassembly for someone who couldn't put it together again and there some missing parts on it. The front sway bar is broken and I have been trying to find on the web the Whiteline front sway bar code but no luck, the rear one is BMR56X if someone can confirm, any other brand or a website that I can go would be helpful (any other information like car name in other countries to search will be appreciated, shared parts with other Evo models, etc). Also I want to know the codes of the chassis braces and some advised about suspension.

This is my first Lancer Evolution and I would like to start to put everything together and take the advantage of upgrade what I can. Will be a long process because of my budget at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that I will reach what I'm looking for!

Cheers from Guatemala City 502

Regards,
Rodolfo

Excellent & welcome Rodolfo @rargueta

Yeah some pics would be great. Since you have a project on your hands, consider making a thread here:

Hello from a fellow early RS owner.
I have BMR56X on my car, it was a decent upgrade. You'll want another Evo 2/3 front sway bar to replace your broken bar, since aftermarket front sway bars are rare and not necessarily an upgrade. Look for roof rust, as that car looks like it's been sitting in less than ideal conditions for a long time. I bet a lot of your bushings need to be replaced from sitting and dry-rotting too, which can be very tricky to find. The parts for these are scattered at many different sites; Ultra Racing makes a bunch of braces, and the suspension choice depends on what your needs are.

Don't put in an engine from an Evo 4 or older. A lot of importers will not import those cars because they get crank walk issues. Those are the best looking years and I am envious of your project! Ohh the possibilities. Some guy did an engine swap with a low up Honda Civic motor :S don't be him. Do you have pictures for us?
