Hey what's up guys!? Hoping to find an Evo to buy soon. Tried to buy an Evo 8 tonight that apparently sat in an ocean and was covered in rust/rot. So back on the hunt!

OP, please take some pictures if you get a chance. The cars some people try to sell out there are ridiculous. Some guy just posted a car with the entire undercarriage sprayed with film/coating, don't even know what it is. But that fact he even sprayed over the aluminum parts makes you wonder just how bad the rot is.

 

I wish I took more pictures of it. Initially I only saw a couple rust spots on the rear quarter. But then I found it on the trunk under the wing and it was bad there. The I popped the hood, he sprayed the strut towers with some type of coating and there was just rust spots everywhere. Some looked like surface but others looked much worse. I don't even want to think what underneath looked like. I did take a picture of his VIN for anyone else that may get lead to it. JA3AH86F83U122477. It was a 2003 White Evo 8.

I did however find a pristine looking Evo 3 down the street from me so I'm going to check that out today!
