Not so. The Galant V6 has more hp than any Camry V6 and much more torque than Accord V6. While the Accord does have 10 more hp it has to spin a lot faster to make it and falls way behind due to only 212 tq vs. 250 tq on the Galant.

We have 2 Lancer ES that our daughters drive, one high school and one college. They are great cars for that application and excellent value compared to Civic or Corolla, either of which would have cost me about $2k plus tax and financing more for same equipment. I have the RalliArt which is a great car with very good performance for it's class. My wife drives an Outlander and is very happy with it.

But didn't they stop making the Camaro a couple of years ago? Besides, I think everyone here would agree, we buy a car that is "best of breed", and the Camaro V6 certinanly isn't best of anything. I had one, it was a real piece.

Evo was my 1st mitsu, & 90% sure it will be my last. i just dont feel the respect & loyalty to customers from mitsu. who da hell makes a purpose built sports car & complains when u drive it remotely fast? DONT BUILD A SPORTS CAR THEN. when u find urself bracing for a fight to get nething done b4 entering a dealership u know u got a pos car company.

talking **** on an RSX?

And those V8 juice people think they have the WOW.

But WAIT! I could pay about $5k more and have the hp up in the stratosphere and STILL have 20 less torque and now have to spin 2000 rpm higher to lose out. And STILL pay premium fuel and see the taillights of every RA as it crosses the intersection ahead of me. At least for $5k more I could hope for a long enough stretch to get the squirrels all wound up at once and finally outdo the RA at the upper end. And it only costs me an extra $100 plus per month on my payment! What a deal! Where's the nearest RSX dealer???
YO, I hope you're not trying to say that an RSX Type-S is slower than a ralliart? I'm a former RSX-S owner who now drives an EVO. The RSX is an excellent performing car, reving an engine to 8000+ for me is part of the fun of driving a performance car and the K-series engine is miles ahead of the POS inside the ralliart. On top of that it comes with all kinds of convenience features (6 disc in dash changer, sunroof, heated mirrors) FREE, no options, no checkboxes...FREE. Not to mention the build quality and reliability of a Honda. Obviously, it's no EVO but it is worth every penny.

No decision, get an RSX Type-S or save for an EVO/STI.

As far as mitsu overall experience

I just took my EVO into my local mitsu dealer for my 5k service and to fix the Paint Chip problem along the Rear Wheel well. So far the experience as been very good. the Dude is doing the paint chip under warranty and also adjusting my doors, and did I mention that I didn't even buy the car from him? As far as in general, I have heard some pretty crappy things about mitsu, but like some guy said earlier, I bought an EVO because it was an EVO and I would have bought it if it was a Kia or a Hyundai.

I will never buy another Mitsu product. My EVO is a Lemon with the P0300 misfire losing power at freeway speeds. It's embarassing. The Evo sucks and the service sucks.

I've owned 2 mistus so far. A 1999 galant v6 (used) and the Evo.
Well as for the galant v6 goes.. it was a POS.. used to get wiped out by every v6 out there in the market, and even tho it had 2 more cylinder than the i4 it had only 20 more hp. AND accelerated only .8 secs faster than the i4. I have owned a mistubishi lancer too (in india) and that was AMAZING. I also had the the AMAZING fortune of driving the 2000 galant in europe. @ 2.5L v6 tht car generated 30 more hp than the USDM 3.0V6. AND THE INTERIOR was SOOOOOO much better.
Given the choice of owning a mitsu car anywhre else in the world, I'd JUMP at it.. they are way BETTER.. but MMNA is **** !! I hate the service.. the attitude of the sales people.. and everything bout the USDM 'modifications' interior and exterior. They simply SUCK.. making a luxury cedan into a POS in US.

As for the EVO, like many people said.. I bought it JUST because its that.. an EVO. I had an evo 5 in india.. and i COULDN'T imagine that MMNA could possibly **** up that car.

Go RSX.. acura = service = quality = speed = happy faces.

Dude.....Read it right. He said Camry not Camaro. As for Mitsu. It will probably be the last one I will get from them. With all the stories with warranty and repairs.....forget it..

My point was you have to pay at least $5k more for the type S so all your FREE ranting is totally wrong and bogus. What you should be saying is that after you pay over $5000 more then you don't have to pay more again for the extra stuff.

Choice 1 is the type S and choice 2 is the RA and add about $1500 in mods. Choice 2 is still about $4000 less than choice 1 and will run with it quite well. That doesn't take into account the extra interest on the higher loan. To each their own but I'd rather have an extra several thousand dollars in my pocket.

It has more torque but it's still slower on higher displacement.
My Honda is 3.0 liter vs 3.8 liter. Cmon.
On 3.8l Honda you'd probably have around 320+hp.
And V6 Accords are SOHC.
That is pure performance...
Honda also gets a bit better gas mileage on REGULAR gas. Galant has premium as recommended.
Interior quality and looks, Honda wins hands down too.
Mitsu needs to modernize and enter 21st century for everthing other than Evo. Evo is their best car but others other than trucks are just a shame.

That's great man, what you paid is what you get. The RSX-S might not be as fast as the Ralliart, but the overall make quality and the looks is far superior than the Ralliart. Speed is not everything. And I think you over exaggerated on the performance of the Ralliart vs RSX. You pay the extra cash for the leather seats and etc. If you are talking about performance, then their is so many cars within the price range that will blow the RSX and the Ralliart of the water. Why not the SRT-4 or the WRX? In the end, there is more than just the hp figures, quality and makes are more important to some people. just my .02

I thought mitsu cars a few years back looked pretty good. But for some reason, their design got really really crappy. I think the RA looks really ugly. Also the galant and all other Mitsu cars. The only one that looks good is the EVO. Like most people said already, if it wasn't for the EVO, I would definitely not get a mitsu. I definitely rather have the RSX. I must be me but for some reason, the mitsu design looks so much like a pontiac. I sometimes can't even tell if it is a mitsu or pontiac.
