Hi

I have stalked this group from a far when google searching over the years but never signed up, been a member of MLR for 10 years now and decided I would sign up!

I'm from the UK and I've got an Evo 8 I have been rebuilding over the last 2 years with a full nut and bolt rebuild. It has a 2.3 stroker built by Norris Designs and currently made 613bhp. I have swapped out the ACD for a non ACD transfer box and this leads me to my big question and help! I am searching very hard for a non ACD speedo, I believe these were on 2003 and 2004 Mitsubishi Evo 8's in USA. Does anyone have one for sale or knows where I could try to buy one from and have it shipped over to the UK?

So far I have tried eBay and Facebook and drawn a blank in both places, any recommendations of Evo breakers in the US would be great!

Thanks for the welcome! I appreciate it!!! I'm keeping a log of all the progress so when I get a chance I'll get the build thread started so people can see, its come a long way so far. I only set out to make a good road car but its turned into a little more than that now!! The spec list is long now and I have everything apart from the cluster now to get it all finished. I'll take a look in the market place and see, I can't seem to post in there I think its because I've only just registered though.

Joe, you sir are an absolute legend, I have just messaged someone who has a cluster for sale! Just hope he is willing to ship to the UK but that will hopefully be another step closer to getting this build completed!!

Clive does some amazing work, my rear diff and gearbox has been overhauled by him with a 4:11 final drive, very very good work!!

Sooooooo, you then will have an ACD cluster that runs KM's for main loop? What kinda mileage does it show?

 

Not quite unfortunately, mines a UK car not a JDM import so it’s factory MPH same as US clocks but with the ACD 3 lights.

 

Osetsky, a very good friend of mine breaks evo's for spares and I am sure he has a set of MR and GSR clocks in KPH if you are looking for some, I can ask him if he still has them?
