Hi! I am a CK4A owner from the Philippines and the car has been with me with 2018. The reason I bought the car is for me to turn it into an Evo 4 (or close to it). Our country is a LHD only country which means we could not use JDM Evos. However, a lot of people in the Philippines import Evos that are cut in half and sell them locally. Here is my plan:
Purchase and install an Airtrek 4G63T engine
Purchase a CM5A tranny and AWD (including the flooring)
Purchase remaining parts of the Evo 4 with some from the Evo 5 and 6 (Brembo brakes and OZ 17's)
I already have the following installed:
Evo 6 Brake Booster
Evo 4 Aluminum Hood
Evo 4 Coolant Reservoir
I already have the following:
Evo 4 nose cut (nose frame, intercooler, power steering cooler, oil cooler, auxiliary fan)
Evo 4 charge and turbo pipes
Evo 4 gussets
I also have ordered fiberglass copies of the Evo 4 bumper and chin, fenders and foglamp covers. I chose fiberglass copies only as prices of the OEM parts went absurdly high this year. I am looking to do the same with the side skirt, rear bumper and lip. For the Evo 4 wing, it would be OEM.
Let me know what to watch out for except for the price of the conversion as I already have that in mind. Nice meeting you all!
Will the JDM RHD Evo 4 steering rack work on the LHD CK? I might go for quick steer but that is once I got engine and the 4WD already installed. The quick steer is quite pricey for me.

welcome. sounds like a fun build, would love to see some pics
Sure. Here they are.
So here is how it currently looks from the outside.
I already have the Evo coolant reservoir installed. I also have a cheapo 2 rows full aluminum radiator installed but I made a mistake of just using distilled water. Now, my cooling system is corroded but I am planning to use the same radiator so I will just flush it. Hopefully, that will do the job. Also installed are double diaphragm brake boosters which came from an Evo 6 and a K&N cone filter. Here are the gussets that I have purchased. Test fitting the gussets on the car. I am excited. Problem is that my CK4A has a bent chassis and due to that, my car is leaning on one side. I still haven't decided if I will have the body fixed or if I will get a new body instead. Here is the Evo 4 nose cut that I have purchased. It includes the power steering cooler, oil cooler, auxiliary fan, the FMIC and the charge pipes. The auxiliary fan seems to be stuck so I will have to bring it somewhere to have it refurbished. My CK4A's nose frame is bent and is only using one bolt on the subframe support connecting to the current nose frame. I definitely need to change the nose frame. Here are the turbo and charge pipes that I have bought. I will have to dispose the charge pipes that came with the nose frame as I already have another set of those here in this box. Mocking the charge and intake pipes just to make sure I have everything. It turns out that I dont. I am missing the hose that connects to the turbo (MR266976). Hoping that the intake pipe fits the Airtrek turbo. My worry is that the turbo inlet might be too small for the factory intake pipes which means I will have to get adaptors fabricated. Here is the progress on the fiberglass front bumper that I have ordered. It looks good to me. Other pieces that I have yet to see are the chin, fenders and fog lamp covers.
I did scout for an engine the other day. The price of the Airtrek engine doubled which is insane! I might have to look around more and see if I would find a good deal. The Airtrek engine just got beyond what my wallet can buy.
Speaking of the bent chassis, yesterday and the other day, when me and my friend went out to scout for engines, the car magically stopped leaning on one side which is weird. However, the steering wheel is still off center (a bit to the left) from time to time and center at times when driving. The rear springs and shocks were replaced a few weeks ago. At first, it was the springs that were replaced but that didn't fix the issue of the car leaning to one side so I decided to have the shocks replaced as well. It turns out that the previous shocks were already busted so having them replaced was a good decision. However, after the springs and shocks were replaced, the car was still leaning on one side. Only on the other day and yesterday is when the issue went away but I find it odd.

Reason: Added additional details.
I had the itch to buy the OEM wing and trunk and so I did. It is becoming rarer these days. Next problem is to have it installed.
It won't be an Evo without its majestic wing.
Rear wing and trunk installed. I have to get another set of garnishes as both that I have are already broken.
I got replacement garnishes which I installed but they were bad. Water is getting inside the garnishes and it is nasty.
I am looking into replacing them with rear fog lamps or an OEM garnishes.
