Introducing myself and my EVO Problems
Introducing myself and my EVO Problems
Hey guys I have a 2010 EVO MR 109k
mod list: (that im aware of)
ETS intake (stock maf)
ETS upper Intercooler piping
Grimspeed ebcs
Id1000 injectors
Tephra v1 rom
it had a 450 lph fuel pump in the tank that caused a flooding issue and shelled out so was replaced with stock due to being paid for by the dealership
to give you the long story I bought this car from a dealership back in March of last year on the drive home engine light comes on for a 02 sensor 1 rich i have the dealerhips shop look at it and ofcourse code is gone before it gets there so they say they cant do anything. (The car hadn't moved from the spot i parked it in) i had also told them about white smoke from the engine bay which they told me was because I was driving it too hard. I took it home looked it over myself and found the dipstick didn't have any oil on it. Immediately called the dealership and demand I have a different shop do an oil change and look over the car. Parked it until the oil change was done got my car back. My tuner who did the oil change let me know that the car had a small boost leak due to a T fitting that had an unplugged side probably going to the boost guage that was pulled out of the car with wiring left in. After that I drove it to work that day and after work 🙃 it wouldn't start. the no start issue lasted for multiple days and I ended up having the car towed to another shop to look the car over. This shop let's me know that they've had to work on multiple cars from this local dealership but were still surprised to find the 450 walboro in the tank (at this point I don't know about the ID1000s) they replace it for me with oem pump and new assembly however I had to threaten the dealership in order to make them pay for it (still within the first 30 days) the shop let me know it felt underpowered. (They were a performance shop) so I look the car over and find that the top Intercooler connector had popped itself off so massive boost leak. I reclamation it down and move on hoping that's the end of my problems and that I can start focusing on maintenance and mods. Ofcourse I'm not so lucky and the car still has a flooding on start up issue but not as exaggerated as before so I decide to pull an injector and check what's possibly going one come to find out they say id1000 on the side. At that point I decided I need to talk to my tuner and he let me know that he won't due ecuflash tunes and at the time cobb had really messed up their software and was having issues so there was now way for him to look at or tune it. So after months of saving up (under the car payments) I finally got myself a tactrix and have all the wonderful software downloaded to break my own car. I know this is a complicated mess but I'll give more details including the the maps I found on the car and what changes I've made so far I'm getting my wideband later this month so I haven't been able to do much other than dial in injector scaling and latency using LTFTs

I'll get some posted soon but I installed my wideband this weekend during install found a straight piece of steel in place of the stock test pipe so easier install of the WBD gauge. I wired it in using the AEM failsafe and boost gauge thread to wire directly to the ECU and am having issues with evo scan recognizing it it did at first gave a value in the 4s but after entering the calc both are reading zero
