Hello

Hi everyone, my name is Michael and I'm a US expat living in Japan. Even as a little kid I always wanted an evo (I swear this is true, I had a poster of a red Evo 8), and a few years back I moved to Japan for work and bought an Evo 6 TME.

I've been lurking this site and some other evo forums for a few years now but I am starting a suspension refresh and need some specialized help that I haven't been able to find elsewhere on the internet.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about navigating JDM suppliers or JDM parts (I will be happy to offer opinions), or if you're curious about what it's like living here or the driving experience and culture.

Right on man!
I just got back from Germany.

If you can hunt around for a 2006 Wagon, I am willing to pay storage if reasonable for the next few years till I can get it imported!!

This form is great, Lots of information is tucked between the pages here. Much cleaner than the Civic forms for sure.

I unfortunately can't help with storage and transport, but if you are serious I could potentially put you in contact with trustworthy people who can handle this. Five years is kind of a long time for a vehicle to stay in storage though, beyond storage costs I would expect additional costs to keep the vehicle preserved and maintained during a period that long. Also wagons can be somewhat difficult to find but you might actually have some luck here, they are unobtainium in the states nowadays.

Bro send pictures! Go to dealers with Skylines and Evo's and so on. Let's see the car culture there!

I will have to head to one of the Daikoku meets for pictures when my car has had its paint issues cleaned up. The meets aren't as big or as crazy as they were pre-Covid, but there are still plenty of awesome cars to be seen. The police also show up a lot more often nowadays to crack down on cars not compliant with inspection (usually too low or too loud).

It's also just fun to see cars from the JDM classic era still on the road, though they are starting to age out.
