I think they look good for some reason and i was wondering why people have them. Kind of a newb questuion i know but hey you never know till you ask.

I've always wonder?.............

 

Hood pins are usually for aftermarket hoods without the latches or for guys who have cars that they constantly need to get in and out of the engine bay. it looks good but why get them just for looks when they serve a purpose.

 

Hood pins are cool if you really do need them...They look good and also have a purpose

 

I have them, and i need them. I like them, "they're cute." <--- according to some female friends of mine.

well theyre good iy you wanna look like the *******s of fast and the furious..if your in you engine bay everytime go for it..buy them

 

I put them on an old S10 I used to have. I put them on because the hood latch stopped working. Its more of a muscle car thing, somewhere along the lines it got trans'd down to the mock racer look.

 

they're basically for safety, but people use them for looks as well. fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods should always use hood pins with the factory hood latch (if possible). its basically a safety issue. i have them on my fiberglass hood. going down the express way at 80mph+ you dont want to run the risk of the hood latch busting off due to wind. double security.
