What is with the red light on the rear bumber f the Euro And JDM Cars. I noticed the CWest Kit has the holes but no lights Im sure it is a highway enforcement thing over there (similar to our emissions) but what do they do, is it simply and added brakelight or what

 

It is a rear fog light, pretty handy in the UK.

 

I thought those were just reflectors for safety reasons?

 

No they are fog lights in Europe. If you see some of the German or other european imports here in the US with either a brighter red taillight on one side or an additional bright red light on the bumper thats what it is. A rear fog light. Amazing concept - let the guy behind you see you in the fog! Well with the number of rearends in broad daylight where I live it might not make much difference.

 

They take them seriously too, I was driving down the highway in Athens, Greece and I was getting honked at and high beam flashed. Turns out I had mine on on a clear night and people were pissed....
