Problem with Front Parking lights and DRL

Hello All,

Picked up a used Evo X yesterday, noticed my front marker lights and DRL's do not light up. With the headlight switch to the parking light position all the rear lights work but no lights in the front. Can someone point me to the right direction of what the cause might be?

Checked with the past owner and he said he never modified any lighting in any way.

SSS Hid's and fogs work flawless.

All help is appreciated

I would check the relays and see if they have gone bad or not. (and the bulbs but I doubt all of them have gone bad at the same time...)

parking lights should come on, but i think the DRLs don't until you put the e-brake down...

I have tried swapping relays around and it made no difference. E brake was down during the relay swap testing. I am not too concerned about the DRL's but would like my marker lights to switch on. Anybody able to tell me what fuses and Relay's would be directly causing this?

And thank you on the congrats, I just sold my Evo 9 and so far other then acceleration the X has impressed me. But I'm sure that will change when I throw some E85 and bolt ons.

If it's still under warranty let the dealership worry about it.

Kracka I Pm'd you a week ago, I love the path you followed on mods on your X and would like to get your insight on a few things.

Its only got powertrain so no bumper to bumper coverage.

I have the exact same problem. What was the solution? I found the DRL fuse was missing and replaced that which fixed my DRLs but not my parking lights...

Check the bulbs. Start with obvious stuff first...
You do not know if the PO had the bulbs burn out and never noticed...

Just replaced DRLs on my 2012MR.

My engine had to be running and the E-Brake had to be down (released) before the DRL's would come on.

Not sure if both those conditions also apply to the parking lights or not.

Bringing this back from the dead, hopefully with some new information.

I read about quite a few people complaining the lights keep going out, but after what I just went through I am wondering if it is faulty wiring causing the issues. I just replaced one of the DRLs today and the DLR still did not light up. I took out my multimeter to perform some testing and it appears the blue wire is not connected securely to the silver circle that the bulb fits in. Check out the picture I attached and let me know what you think. Is it possible that all we need to do is solder the raw wire to the silver circle to eliminate the DLR bulb issues? I hope I am not oversimplifying this, but if I am let me know.
