Low spoiler vs. CF spoiler on EVO
I'm curious if anyone can point me to any data comparing the low spoiler vs. the CF tall spoiler on an EVO?
I'm not looking for opinions or comments regarding looks.
I'm looking for some real data comparing drag, downforce, etc. between the two.
I would appreciate any technical data or links that anyone can provide. Thanks in advance for your help!

The Low profile GT spoiler has a little drag compared to the large CF wing, you can accelerate quicker with the low profile GT spoiler. The large CF wing is better for high speed stability (real high speed over 100mph)
Thanks, at least I got one response. :-)
I was hoping to find something from either Mitsi, or someone who may have done some independent testin, but I appreciate the information. It's right on par with what I expected to see in real world testing.

theres some comparison of the old (evo7) spoiler vs the new CF evo 8 spoiler. There is some technical data in there. Probly will take you a long time of searching and looking through archieved threads to find it though. Good luck.
I was just reading the Subaru forums yesterday (I dunno why, bored I guess) and there was posting of a technical measurement of a STi with a low spoiler versus the standard big wing done by Evo Magazine in the UK. There was a difference in downforce on the rear wheels (actually, a reduction in lift) with the big wing. I don't believe that anyone has done a similar measurement on the Evo, so I'm afraid that you're open to speculation until such time that someone does so. Note that such a measurement requires a wind tunnel, lots of measuring devices like strain guages and the like, and more than a little amount of time (and money).
Common sense would say that the Evo's CF wing, designed for the World Rally Cup, improves performance at certain specified operating envelopes. The low spoiler mostly produces drag and is there as an aesthetic option. Car & Driver had an article about spoilers a few years ago and their conclusion was that most (but not all) offered up drag with little downforce.
