Exactly what I was going to say.

You know why the EVO engine is so good?

Who do you think made the engine on those japanese kamakazy planes for Pearl Harbor?

Yep, you guessed it. Mitsubishi.

That engine made the impossible, possible. Which is no good mortally, but they gave us EVO, so i guess it works out (not really).

I just think EVO's just a better car. I'm still fairely lack in quality of Subaru products.

Goto WRX forum. People complaint about their car a lot.

I went with the Evo as it's just more fun to drive... better handling.

The reason I *almost* went with the STi is that my local Subaru dealer is very good, and physically closer than the Mitsu dealer.

I just traded my WRX for the EVO. After driving the STi and EVO twice, reading all about the "wastegate flutter" on the STi from simple exhaust mods, and having a HORRIBLE service experience with the WRX I decided to give Mitsu a try.

It's been great so far...

what about the fact that the sti has no option for a sunroof...that helped push me towards the evo...

love the evo styling as well...and handling ...and steering...i am just glad i made the decision i did

Sti

The Subaru dealer in Evanston, IL charged a premium and it didn't have any in stock. They were like, "Give us a deposit and we'll call you". I probably would have bought one had they been available, but I was not spending north of $35K for it.

I've had my Evo for 14 months and I haven't looked back. I'm not very picky and I probably wouldn't have regrets had I bought an STi. Sounds wishy washy, but that's the way it is.

Corrections: The famous WWII japanese fighter planes known as zeros were powered by Nakajima Engines, not Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi,Kawasaki,Nakajima built the airframes for most of the Japanese Air Force. Initially Mitsubishi had engines, but were deemed not powerful enough for the fighter which was Japans pride fighter plane. BTW the design of the radial engine used was copied from American Pratt & Whitney Technology
