Air Induction Opinions

I want to start adding some mods to my car and one of the first things I want to do is add a air induction kit to the car, but I don't know which one to get. I am looking at RMR intake system , Road Race Short Ram Induction kit, AEM CAI kit , and Injen short induction kit.

I want to get everyone's opinion about each kit. I like to know which one would give the best performance.

Some more back story, I am planning to do new exhaust with 2.25" pipe (custom from a local shop) and the RRM's Testpipe at the same time.

Well first things first... do you have a MT or an AT? The Cold air intakes will not work with your lancer if it is an automatic.SRI's will work with both trannys, so your options are open if you drive a MT. Since my lancer is an AT, I wound up going with the RMR SRI and I love it. Sounds great, and the performace seemed better after the installation. All those brands you listed are great and have great products. Whatever you decide, well, you'll be happy with it.

I have a AEM CAI. . . I love it. Took forever to fi it in my car but well worth it. I had a RRM SRI before and i have to say i like the AEM better. I dont see the point of a hot air intake, but it does give you a nice deep sound when you mash the gas, yet so does my aem. Everyone is going to warn you about getting water in your intake if you get a CAI, but i dont think youll have a problem unless you go offroading in a river or drive thru deep puddles. Aem gave some good gains. you feel the difference at about 3000 to 3500. nothing huge but noticable.
