what do u think about this
hi there
i own an impreza RS2000 and my clutch went at 58000 this was the origanal clutch, so under the warranty it was changed (subaru proven warranty)
at 60000 it was serviced then at 63000miles my clutch is slipping so i take it back and have to wait 2 weeks before they can look at it.
they have it for a whole day and when i pick it up they say Quote:
yes your clutch is slipping
???tell me somethink i dont know
so i ask what happens now and they say its not covered under warranty due to driver error (slipping the clutch)
so i added even if i did (which i dont)slip the clutch it should still last more than 5000miles
right so i now want to find out how much its gonna cost so i ask for a written estimate ,
this takes 4 weeks to do so
i phone to book it in and its gonna take 4 weeks
finally my car go's in and that day i get a phonecall it's subaru with some bad news my flywheel needs replacing cos its cracked under the heat.
so the estimate has gone from £550 to over £1000 pounds
but surely they should of changed the flywheel when they changed the clutch at 58000, and if they didnt change the flywheel at 58000 and it was damaged would that cause my clutch to go after 4/5000miles
please help me with this matter i feel like im being ripped off
plus ive spoke to tradingstandards but still waiting for advice
respect to the evo
