Evo break in miles

I dont mean to hi-jack the thread, but I think this will help this guy out too since it refers to the break-in somewhat. I heard it is good to change the transmission fluid after 1k miles too, is this true? If so, also is there anything else that needs to be done?

I changed mine out around that mileage. I'd have to go back to my log and see exactly when I changed it. It is absolutely scary to see how much metal filings are caked on the magnetic plugs on the tranny, transfer case and rear diff.
