Evo 7 bumpers on Evo 8

so...is this possible? Evo 7 JDM bumpers on a U.S. Evo8. Z1auto sells these and told me that they do fit but i wanted to be absolutely sure before i invest 600$ on a front bumper. Any1 heard of this conversion being done? I'm guessing that i would need to change my hood also.
Thanks for your thoughts.

they fit, but the front bumper needs a 7 hood to match.

Is the crash bar the long bar that runs across the front right above the intercooler? Thats a pretty important part of the car isn't it?

I don't think you need to remove the crash bar cuz the EVO 7 front bumper is JDM. If it's a kit, maybe you need to take that off.

From what I understand in order for the Evo 7 bumper cover to work the crash bar must be removed. The same rings true for most all of the JDM bumpers like the CWEST and so forth.

Its really cool to see owners of evo 8's want to go back to look like an evo 7.

7 looks way better than an 8. From the hood, bumper, rear tailights, rims. ACD/AYC

The JDM bumpers WILL NOT FIT the VIII with the crash bars installed. Hence the different bumpers on JDM VIII's and USDM VIII's.

Personally I think the VII bumpers and hood are kinda ...well.... um...ugly.

But thats just me
