2005 MR or 2005 STI

get an S4...
i'd wait to see what the MR holds, and then make your decision... those STi's are not going to flying out the door man... they'll be plenty around when the MR comes out...

they are both sweet cars...i would also take into consideration whether or not you were going to modify your car....if you plan to mod...i would get the mitsu...if you plan on leaving it stock...might want to go for the subie

Thanks for the input
I will try to be patient and wait for the MR and see what the deal is. At this point I can say that if the price difference is any more than 2k it is not worth it. Taking into consideration the major problems that
is having I would rather go for the much improved subie. I still believe that the MR will be a slightly better car, but we will have to wait and see when all the facts are in.

In the same boat...
Test drove the '05 STi yesterday... engine had a nice growl, responsive, the suspension and steering wasn't as telepathic as the Evo, but meaty feel with good feedback. Brakes where as good.
The interior was definitely upscale... right out of the Legacy, with really comfortable seats... definitely not for the track... and built in 6cd changer. STi has the edge here...
And i'll have to admit, the silver with silver wheels is pretty sharp with the smoked head lamps. Can alway raid the STi parts bin to make the suspension harder edged.
The scoop is easy to get used to... like the tail, like I like the Evo's wing. It's tradition.
I'm in line for the MR, and they will take my specific order next week. Yeah, it will be sick, harder edged... but is Mitsu here to say? I don't now... pulling out 3 cars from their US line up, sales are down globally... no help outside of keeping them afloat.
I'm torn, and I hate it. I think I'll wait....
Damn, so close, but so much uncertainty now. It's now heart and soul v. mind and brain.
