Question on Smoked tail lights?
Question on Smoked tail lights?
I just bought Night Shades - transparent black lens paint, and had some questions about how to do this correctly.
1) I want to paint the inside of the lights, but do I have to bake them with this type of paint?
2) Is there a specific technique I should use to ensure that the lenses are sealed back up so moisture doesn't get inside of the lense? Also, will the front plastic cover come off easily when I unbolt the lenses?
3) Would it be easier/cleaner for me to just paint the exterior of the lenses, while masking off the turn signals?
*I am unsure of how durable this particular paint is exposed to weather and abuse.
Thanks for the help, it means a lot.

I had it on the outside of my Sentra for years; with no problems. Shined and looked perfect.
Backing is to get the lights to seperate, so you can get inside them. There is no need to bake if you just apply to the outside. Some suggestions would be to make sure it's extremely clean before applying and follow the directions on the car for spray distance etc. The stuff I got worked great.
Good luck!
