turnin a lancer into a evo

hey guys im new here, i want to buy a lancer 03 and turn it into an evo, im plannin to mayb spend around 15g's (canadian) for parts, what parts would i need to turn a normal lancer into a evo7 killing machine

You would be better off buying an EVO. Is AWD important to you? If not, you could take a lancer and turn it into something that looks like an EVO and turbo it, plus spend more money on suspension, etc. In the end, you'd still be way off...

If you want an EVO "killer" though, you'd be better off buying one and modding it.

sorry guys i am a nub, but i heard it was cheaper to just buy an evo engine and buy exterior parts for it, since here in canada its like 45 000 for an evo8 and im just plannin to spend 30 :P

it depends what you want the car to do.

if you just want it to look like an evo, go for the conversion.

if you want it to act (at all) like an evo, just wait and buy one. you'd be happier and spend far less in the long run (not to mention save you lots of hours of wrenching and repair).

i dont have 45 g's for the whole car but i heard u can drop an engine in for 8000 do u think its a smart idea?
