Used 03 Evo Warranty Question

Hi.

I'm thinking about buying a used 2003 Evo. I see on Mitsu's site that a used 2004 would come with the remainder of a 5 year/60k mile warranty. What warranty would a used 2003 come with? I've searched for this but can't find anything on it.

I'm pretty sure it's the remaining balance of 3 years or 36K miles.

It should come with the remainder of 5/60 on power train and major component and the remainder of 3/36 of the new car warranty.

My bad. In my original post I just said 5/60. I guess I'm just thinking powertrain warranty.

So remaining of 3/36 bumper to bumper, and remaining of 5/60 on powertrain?

If you buy it from a dealership you should get a document detailing the remaining warranty. In my state it is required to be posted on the car. Obviously you would want to get a carfax report or at least take the VIN to a mitsu. service dept. and get them to pull the car up.

I never thought of that. That's a good way to see if the warranty is still intact.

I second the CAR-Fax. It's not perfect, but a great guide line to the past history of the car.
