The STi is still 33-34K So ballpark of 31 is not looking too bad.
Um, is this the thread you intended to post in?

I have all the factory manuals, homologation papers, and two evo 7rs's siting in my shop, I have had the t-cases open and serviced them. What I'm trying to see is how much is known in the US about the system, from what I can see there are a lot of missconceptions about the system and how it works. I just want to assemble a page with correct info. But if there is already a one stop source of CORRECT info I won't waste my time.

Swedish, Norwegian, whats the difference?..... just kidding. Both up there with the hot women.

BTR is one of the best UK evo shops, and one of the most experianced with ACD. I have a bunch of their stuff on my car.

PVB,

I am trying to decide whether to by a 04 RS w/out ACD vs the 05 with. According to this web site's '2005 Dancer Evolution Specs - Including MR", the all 05 Evo's will have ACDs.

I'd wait for the ACD, then I'll trade gearboxes with you. :-)

The ACD is as useless on the Evo as the turbo is useless. In other words it serves a good purpose.

Why dig up a 2+ year old thread though?

i know acd transfers power from front to rear or whatever but what exactly is the difference between tarmac, gravel, and snow...is tarmac 50% power to the front and 50% to the rear....or something like that...maybe snow is 70 front 30 rear...i don't know....just trying to give examples...or does each setting differ the power automatically front and rear...if that's the case then why are there 3 settings....just wondering...all i know is that i put it on gravel in the rain and i never ever slip and slide around

as far as ayc on the japan models...it's kindof like the acura system where the outside wheel turns faster when turning around a corner...and it's only on the rear wheels...not the front...i guess it helps you turn a little sharper but the evo already turns and handles better than just about any car even without ayc
