what about nitto? i had NT450's on my 17's for a year and they still have plenty of tread left. they had good wet traction (i did hydroplane once) and dry traction is great too.

I ended up getting T1-S tires they are ok. Great for rain they do really well cutting through the water... Not quite as stiff as the advans in the corners they stick well enough but the sidewall is a lil weaker.

I like the stock Yokos on my ES. Probably the only tires that i'll ever be able to chirp with this car

The stock Yokos don't even qualify as Yokohama tires. They are not even labelled with a model number that Yokohama sells. They are intended to be the cheapest tires they could put on a cheap car.

And the Lancer is torquey enough to make almost any tires chirp - don't worry about that. Get some even halfway decent tires on your car and you'll see just how bad those stock ones are.

oh man...my i didnt even realize how bad the stock tires were until I got new ones. I got KUmho ectsa tires and they seem to be pretty good, even tho i dont have much experience with tires but they sure beat the hell out of those ****ty dunlop tires that came with it.

Nm0ney34 - I got the Kumho Ecsta 711s. Same here though...I don't have much experience with tires, but they work real good. I'm goin 80 on a rainy day weaving through traffic on the highway. Holds up pretty well ~! Keeps me on the ground on the exit/on ramps goin at 40 no problem. Overall a good tire.

I also had the Dunlops~! Chirped on 1st and 2nd...after I put CAI in. Cheap tires or AEM CAI really worth the mod? LOL. Those had crappy grip. Always slid on those, felt like a drifter on hard turns.

lovin' my BF Goodrich tires on my BMW - traction T/A's. If you can believe it, I actually like them a lot better than the Pirellis I had before. I won't buy Pirellis again.

Toyo Proxies RA-1's, better than the stock Advans as far as grip.
