i'm buying a 03 silver evo in about a week. unfortunately i do not have a garage and i have to street park. i'm just little worried about it, though i haven't heard many evos getting stolen. how many people here actually street park and where do you live? i live in new york but my neighborhood is pretty safe.

I live in Los angeles (aka ghetto) and I park it in my drive way behind the tahoe. I still want lojack but it's a little too much for me right now.

 

I used to be real precautious where i parked my car. Now, I really dont care. I figured insurance would cover it anyways. I havent had any problems up until about a month ago. Ive had my car for about 10 months. Last month someone keyed the right back door. Its ugly but what can i do about it. I have lo jack but i think its worth less. I live in socal.

 

Yeah sometimes I try to do the "insurance" excuse but I just can't do it!!

 

2 suggestions... car alarm.. and gun.. hahah... nah.. a car alarm should do the job

 

well.. got the lojacked installed.. it gives me a peace of mind at least.

 

I read somewhere that LoJack costs about $695.00. I could be wrong, but that sounds right anyways. As far as your evo....Even though i don't have one yet it sounds like a good deal. I still would have haggled the hell out of that seller though.
