Question How much should I pay?

Hello, I am new here... I live in Southern California, I am in the market for a 2004 EVO 8 (not RS), I am just wondering how much should I pay for this car right now? I went to a dealership yesterday. They have a $5000 mark up, is this still normal? Can I get the car at msrp or less?

My dealer got me one at cost. (so he said, I'm not sure what cost really is) $30,124 out the door, so there are deals out there, dont just stop at one dealer, check them all out. I'm sure those cars are a lot more popular in Cali than up here, so it might not be as easy.

Work the phone and the internet. Ask dealers to quote you their best price and then compare. You'd be surprised what some will volunteer.

I would certainly not deal with the dealer still charging a markup. While there may be others, I know of only one dealer in SoCal still trying this scam, and they are in Irvine. Check others, you will find that there are plenty no longer doing this.
