I just got my Red RS. However, it really needs a stereo system. Do you guys know if the 2002 Lancer Stereo system is the same as the EVO stereo? Thanks guys!

haha ya it is...to say...but doesnt the evo also coe with and optional infinity one that has a cd changer out?

 

Same stereo and yes it's garbage but it worked fine. Speakers were the ****ty part. Still have my stock ones sitting in my closet on the shelf.

I say just replace the whole system the whole thing lacks punch and power not to mention the stock deck looks like ****

Actually, I'am for the stock head unit(Its actually made by Masusihita MR587268), its quality from the aftermarket garbage, so what if it looks abit dull, but it won't break like the cheap aftermarket ones. I just added 2 amps and a sub to the system for under $400cdn and it sounds better than my $2000 I use to have and no theives will steal it since they think its a stock unit.

 

You're using line level converters? If so, I beg to differ...

You're taking high voltage signal, cranking it down to low level and then REALLY cranking it back up out the amp? How does that make sense?

A decent aftermarke deck will sound better. Spend 400 on a decent Pioneer or Alpine and you won't be sorry.
