US Evo fuel
Depends on what state you live in, for California it's 91 octane, everywhere else 93 or 94 octane. Note we use the average of the research and motor octane numbers here, that is (RON + MON)/2. Hope that helps.

The higest octane you can get would be worth the money in an EVO.
What is the octane standard in europe? In the US, as stated, we use the research + motor/2. In Japan I think they use the research number. But anyway, The US EVO has to be tuned to the lowest common denominator, which is 91 R+M Cali **** gas. I think the manual says that you can use 91, but 93+ is recommended
There is a lot of good info on gas on the web. If you want to take the time, you can learn more than you ever wanted to know about octane etc.. I wish I had saved some of the links I looked at a while back. If you have a turbo car it's worth the time to do some research.

Euro standard is RON and there's choice between 95 and 98. Euro-spec Evos need 98 RON. And if US standard is RON+MON/2 then US 91 means about 95 RON and US 93 about 98 RON so everything seems allright just the numbers in different standards are misleading.
