Defi HUD

Am heavily interested in installing a full DEFI gauge system in my car, including the HUD component (http://www.defi-shop.com/product/con...ncept_top.html) and defi-display. Basically the whole shebang. Has anyone attempted this type of install in an EVO yet? I saw a thread about adding the DEFI boost gauge, but was wondering if anyone had taken it one step further. Also any idea on cost and cheapest places to buy would be appreciated.

Yup it's been done.

One thing to know is that the Concept HUD and Defi-Link Display units will NOT show boost, you will need to get a separate Defi-Link gauge for that.

Otherwise they are slick.

Yea, going to purchase their boost gauge and do the steering column install, or just just let turbo timer handle it whenever I decide to get one (sooner rather that later hopefully)

I have it installed on mine, but I noticed the display is 5-10mph higher than the actual speedometer. Anyone have the same problem

Weird. Sure you didn't **** up speedometer dissassembling the dash? My budyy f'd up his speedometer on a 84 cadillac when f'ng with the dash. Might be different from an old school caddy though -)

I didn't touch the speedometer at all. I wired the tach wire through the ECU wires.

You can calibrate the Defi Link VSD Concept.

Hold Enter to enter Setup Mode. Select SPS

Instead of using 4, set it to Free, then hit the Enter when your car reaches 60km/h or 40mph.

I printed the manuals from this page
http://www.defi-shop.com/product/con...pt_safety.html

I have 3 Defi gauges for Oil Temp, Ext Temp and Boost. Use the Defi VSD as a shift light/and also speedo dials (cos the speedo is always obscured by the steering wheel) and also as a water temp readout.

Thanks DoggieHowser

I'll try this setup and let you know if I still have the same problem.
