i know that i am still i newbie but i just got the new september issue of car and driver. on page 33 there is a little blurb about the warranty wars with mitsubishi, that if they dont affect you now, they might soon. give it a read. also in the same issue on page 138 there is a "quick review" of a 04 lancer evo rs. if you are considering a car to buy, read these. serious i am a avid reader of car and driver and have been for years. check it out, these guys are serious car buffs, and know what they are talking about. read both articles online at caranddriver.com
